Video of Battlefield 4 running on PS4 at 60 fps

A new gameplay video shows the PS4 version of BF4 running at a smooth 60 fps.

So far we know that if you’re looking to get the best version of Battlefield 4 on a console, the PlayStation 4 edition is the one to get. It runs at a higher resolution that its Xbox One counterpart, and runs at a steady 60 frames per second.

Finally, we have a video of Battlefield 4 running on the PS4 at 60 fps, courtesy of GameSpot. Since YouTube limits videos to 30 fps, it’s been hard to really get a sense of the gameplay on next generation consoles. Besides the smooth framerate, the level of detail and visual quality is impressive on the PS4 version as well.

While the Xbox One version will also support 60 fps (and 64 players in multiplayer), its resolution is 720p compared to 900p on the PS4.

Battlefield 4 launches on the PS4 on November 15 as a launch title. It’s already available on the PS3, the Xbox 360, and the PC (where it’s almost unplayable).

Sharing is caring!

This is stupid… on the xbox 360 the graphics are about half as good as this… I guess the ps3 and xbox 360 aren’t getting as good as graphics as the newer consoles… this sucks

Why the hell would they get as good graphics as new console. If i pay 400-500$ for a new system , it damn well better outperform ps3/360. Thats the point of next gen.

PS4 fan boy in the house!! ..who gives a flying f:;I about resolution and release dates all I care is having fun with my friends on battlefield that is now closer to the experience PC guys get for half the cost.

Really though while your running around shooting taking cover do you really think you have time to sit and stare at a texture?? Jump off the ps4 band wagon and be joyous in the fact us not so serious console users can have a full fat battlefield game.

I’ve played BF on consoles since the original xbox, graphics never bothered me it’s the BF moments and experience that matters MOST!

I’m sick to death of this ps vs xbox crap, jog on! Pick a console fire up the game and enjoy yourself

As a guy who has played consoles all of my life, by saying that this is a closer experience to pc for half the price is a complete understatement and even false, graphics and resolution on this is garbage and during the month of december, people have been buying ps4s for 600-800 bucks off of much for the claim that consoles are cheaper.

“Really though while your running around shooting taking cover do you really think you have time to sit and stare at a texture??”

Well that seems idiotic to me concluding that you are basically playing a game that is nothing but an environment and other character/player models so yes, you will be staring at textures the entire time you are need to see what pc gaming looks like.Back when the 360 and ps3 era, I bet you were one of those people who claimed that the human eye could detect the difference between 30 and 60 fps.Have fun bro.

The fanwars are good.Everybody knows Playsation is ”that guy” period.Xbox was just a fronter. And we love nintendo no matter what.Nobody likes monseysofts invasion and spamming of $$$$ to try monopolize the market like it did at desktop computer level.Never liked them entering games industry stay in your lane. They will lose this gen their money greedy ,controlling corporate ways has been shown for the world to see. The only reason xbox was popular was cause it was cause of the bootlegging that wont be around now. Its also an inferior box that cost more. They will probably re-release another model next year or 2years time screwing early adopters to fix the esram and spec cock ups. Sony would be long gone in optimization and services. And you got to be kidding if you think there wont be a difference in visual quality. It will get exposed majorly in open levels with leveloution ,sand, buildings and vehicle terrains. The drop in quality is there to see on your ps3 go from1080 to 720 on some games and you’ll see difference especially in BF3.Whats the point of next gen when your box is relaying just a little bit better quality than the current gen this a problem. It does matter games should be at 1080p now period. Its currently at 900p on PS4.There will be an upgrade upto 1080p eventually with patch download probably near 3rd DLC.Killzone is shitting on many games as they are 1080 and thats visually stunning. The graphics let down is bigger than battlefied for xbox because games like forza 5 can get to 1080 but at a cost of the current xbox hardeware set up.It does’nt even have night mode and various other graphical things needed.Well done Sony even nintendo getting there 1080p shit together, Microlost.

Wetdogsmell, I hate people like you so goddamn much. You are like the whiteknight of the console debate. If you’re against fanboyism why would you even label yourself as such?

I hope you will refrain from voicing your opinion in a public place in the future.

He’s a self proclaimed PS4 fanboy who realizes how stupid fanboyism is and denounces it. He doesn’t flame anybody, just says to pick whichever console you like and enjoy. What’s so bad about that? You’re being a jerk.

I hope Sony fixed the ‘upscaler bug’ present in the Dev kits (and debug consoles) – I know Sony’s history with upscalers is terrible (considering PS3’s didn’t even work at all!?), but they need to address the fact that is ‘blurrs’ 900p games (like BF4). I Would hope that DICE simply ‘patch’ Battlefield 4’s resolution to 1080p – but that’d result in dropped framerate. Come on Sony(!) FIX THIS in a system update, ok?

Dude… These are LAUNCH titles! Cross-gen titles at that. You can not base a systems peak performance on these variables. Check modern warfare 1 vs bf3. HUUUUGE leap, same console. They still haven’t fully tapped into the capability of the processor on ps3. Give it a year. When they really start building games on the 4 solely. Can’t rush perfection, were only human
