Battlefield 4 Naval Strike delayed on PC

The Naval Strike expansion has been delayed for PC gamers due to quality control issues.

Battlefield 4 Naval Strike launches today on several platforms. Except the PC. At the very last moment, DICE announced that Naval Strike will be delayed on the PC because of quality concerns. Naval Strike is available on consoles today for Premium members, and two weeks later for everyone else.

DICE didn’t go into specifics about why it’s delayed, only that they require more time because they “detected an issue that needs to be solved”. DICE did not confirm a new date for the PC version of Battlefield 4 Naval Strike, and added that Naval Strike will be released alongside a PC update that fixes the Tablet Commander bug.

In a statement to Battlefield 4 players, DICE said:

“Quality is our number one priority and we will not release Battlefield 4 Naval Strike on PC until we feel it meets the highest quality level possible. We are also working on a larger update to release alongside Naval Strike on PC that will address the issue of Tablet Commander not working correctly.”

As mentioned above, console players have access to Naval Strike right now. Today, DICE also rolled out a new Battlelog update, which adds support for Naval Strike, alongside some other features and bug fixes.

Finally you guys weigh in on this, the BF forums are being lit up over this delay. Thanks Dice for basically saying here is your new maps you paid extra for then at the last hour rip it away. Alot of very unhappy folks today. Except for console goobs.

”We want the highest quality for our product” PWAHAHAH stop lying EA!!! The only reason why you are delaying DLC is to be sure you won’t loose money again or get players mad!!

“Quality is our number one priority” You must be joking :D. If this is not a typical example of trolling, than I do not know what is.

If it’s so EASY to fix, why don’t you just go ahead and do it yourself? You’re making it sound so very very easy but the matter of fact is that bugs aren’t always a one road thing. You fix something then you have to fix the follow-up bug until the entire cycle is fixed. Stop making clever remarks if you have NO IDEA what the game industry is. People will ALWAYS complain, no stopping this. ” Omg they delayed my game.. i can only play 2 DLCs now.. i sooo wanna use boats.. wait i can but i wanna play new maps! YAY I’M SPOILED! ” seriously lol 😛

I wouldn’t want to see you at work if they postponed a field trip y’all probably have at selling burgers. Lol

Except that videogame industry makes more money than cinema and music, so it was not necessary to release a game which was clearly not finished. It is still the case today, you play with 200-300 ms of delay. Embarassing for a FPS.

I am on Xbox one and it is currently 6:45 pm and I cant get it, so its not just the PC gamers getting riped off its everyone, even dice’s “most valued players” Aka premium players don’t get it when we payed $50 and doubled their profit margin. WTF dice

They surely weren’t quality testing this for PS4, rubberbanding is worse than it’s ever been on Naval Strike.

I saw on the EA support centre that they are officially delaying the xbox one release as well. looks like it won’t be released until “early april”. EA’s compensation is that “premium members on xbox one and PC will still receive naval strike 2 weeks before other users on those platforms”…. like i give a shit about when other people get it! i think this is just so they don’t have to provide any alternate means of compensation for the false start. funny thing is the premium calendar on xbox one still says “Naval Strike: OUT NOW!” bahaha

This is quite common in a franchise of this age. When faced with a platform of experience, they cannot perform. Take the blue pill and try again in a while…

Even with the delay on PC and Xbox one, being a premium member is a huge advantage, i for one want to have all the DLC packs, and each DLC pack costs $15, theres 5 of them so thats $75, but the premium costed only $50, so getting premium helped me save $25. Bottom line, even if they gave nothing else for the premium, for me it’s more than worth it.

Conclusion? quit complaining so much, if they release a glitched game you complain, if they delay the launch in order to give ya a higher quality product you still complain, I would like to see you make a better game than BF4.

They don’t care. You bought bf4 premium. You bought titan fall. And you will buy bf5.
    That’s an order 🙂

The funny thing is bf4 is not a game built from scratch. It’s mainly based on bf3, from graphics to netcode. So they should have released a more polished game than the previous one. But no. And they are still people here to defend that, with all the money they made on bf3, premium, pre-orders.
