The new update will be released ahead of its original schedule.

Good news to all Battlefield 4 players: the Summer patch, aka Night Operations update, will be released ahead of its original schedule: the update will be released on all platforms on Tuesday, September 1st.

The update will include the Summer patch with all of its changes, and the new night map, called Zavod Graveyard shift.

However, due to various region rules, the Night Operations part of the update (with the new map) will be released a week later on the PS4 and PS3 in Europe.

Earlier this week DICE announced that the patch was complete and that it was in certification, which usually takes a few weeks. It seems that the process has gone by much faster this time.

For more on Night Operations, check out some awesome screenshots of the new map.

I remember when Battlefield 4 was to be released early…. exactly 1 week earlier than a COD game…. it never worked out…

I just want the game fixed so that I can play it like any normal game (to have fun)

Alright, enough whining. If you really have been around for that long, like I have when I pre ordered the game, you can definitely see just how much of the game has been fixed.

A post about battlefield getting free, FREE, content for it’s community to enjoy, and ass-hats still post these kinds of comments. Grow up.

I’m sorry, I didn’t think that people like you who have played the game from start would be so simple minded…..

the game had problems at the start yes but I didn’t have most of those problems from start, they came later on for me and they are still there…

how can i put this to you… oh… yeah…. I sell you brand new car for a high price but I still have not finished the car, you just have to believe what I say… then when i give you the car (that you bought for a high price) it is missing some components inside the engine… now tell me… how do you feel??? what is the point of buying a car that can’t even drive? how pissed off will you be???

the game is still broken, I bought it for a high price, I prepared for it (new PC) but only the people with a real brain can see that EA (not DICE) are piece of SH*T and can’t fix anything
-one step forward, two steps back- -fix one thing, F*CK up two more things-

i will admit that i forgot that it is FREE for non-members but hey…. I’m a premium member…. I made the mistake of paying in full at the start…

if you had pre-ordered the game and played from start till now then tell me… have you forgotten what it was like at the launch…. will you be one of those fools giving EA more money to f*ck us with?

        Hi

I agree, well definitely with the most of your comment. I also have been there from the start and have seen the improvements and fixes and it’s a good thing, also the CTE is doing the great job as well as dice for once listening to most of the stuff what we have to say about the game. The only bad taste left is the question – shouldn’t the final product (BF4) you purchased have that all and dice not fixing the stuff ‘on the go’ ? When I buy a bicycle I expect it to work and all it’s features to work properly (I know I know it’s more complicated than bicycle but you get my point) and I wouldn’t say that if this was some minor bugs and stuff, but the amount of things needed fixing is just amazing. I still play and think that it’s a great game, just wondering if Dice will do the same mistakes with next BF.

Wow, there’s still people like you who hate and whinge? The games been fixed for a long time now. Fluid gameplay, action packed, intense, runs smooth.

Wow, there’s still people like you who have no f*cking clue what they are talking about?

the game has never been fixed that’s why they are bringing in a new patch… read the f*cking title of the thread douche.

I’m sorry, but I play on PC (as the MASTER RACE) because of graphics and modding. This game has no mods so its graphics that I’m after along with high FPS… I should not have to lower my graphics settings for a game as old as it is just to get more “Fluid gameplay, action packed, intense, smooth running” when I have two f*cking R9 290 VAPOUR X’s…

Battlefield 4 is optimised for AMD for f*cks sake

so please do everyone a favour…. go and jump off EA’s money pile
        thank you 🙂

You and BL are queers. No one on here cares what setup you run.
And if its only graphics that you are after, you are a sad little man child.
Now go pee sitting down next to BL.

PS: DICE FIX THE FARKING GAME ALREADY!~@#~%^

            you are funny major xD

I know that no one cares about MY RIG but I had to state what I was running with due to the “Maybe play a non- shit computer?” remark…

and I’m sorry if you don’t have a PC that can run games with beautiful graphics but I do and I expect to play them with good FPS…

and one more thing, hahahahahahahahahahahaha good suggestion

Ok, so you haven’t named what’s actually wrong. You’re now saying you can’t play the game with 2 cards. Yep, fix your shit setup. I was correct.

Stop blaming the damn game. It runs beautifully, the. game. is. fixed.

If you can’t have fun with battlefield as it is now then the game is just not for you.

If it is for fun that you play… competetive it can get nerve wrecking when glitches/lag happens…

true my friend… BF4 might not be for me…
but I spent a lot of money on it so I might as well suck every last bit of it out.

I now just go on with a few friends and mess around with team-mates/C4 … the only part of the real Battlefield game left…. how sad 🙁

Spot on Wolf. Seems some don’t work for the money they buy the game with, so wasting it doesn’t matter so much.

I understand EA. It doesn’t make sense to waste money finishing the game when there’s enough people who don’t care and will buy it anyway. 🙁

We seem to be in the minority. We realise that a patch that is balancing weapons after 2 years means the game isn’t completed.

finally!!!!!!!! someone with a working brain!!!!!!!!!!!

this is the type of person that should be making the comments xD
a glitch free game is all we want… the game that we paid for… that’s what we should be looking forward too…

I was just saying that last time they had a early release for something they messed it up big time

I didn’t play the new COD but i’ll take your word for it xD

I seriously don’t get the ‘fix the game DICE’ comments and the hyperventilating that occurs over this games state. It had a pretty crappy release sure, but me and my friends haven’t had any serious problems since 6 months or so after release.

I don’t get the “fix the game DICE” comments either…. its EA’s fault…

like you said, the game had a crappy release but the thing is, is that there are still problems with the game that either need fixing or could use with a quick fix…

yes, the game is playable but to an extent… I’m more concerned about their other games coming out… I just don’t want to fall into another trap like BF4 did…

ps: BF3 had a bad launch and got fixed along the way… but it still has problems and they are not fixing them any more, so how long until they stop fixing BF4???

EA is the problem… and they will never learn that until people wake up and stop giving them money, then they will start selling better games that work fine from launch…

All these people with “Don’t complain, they fixed it didn’t they?” forget EA left BF4 & started promoting BF Hardline and only ‘fixed’ BF4 when we complained.

If the game doesn’t work we complain SO THE GAME CAN BE IMPROVED. When you download your FREE patch thank us for being so vocal.
If it was left to you, in a few years you’ll be buying full priced cracked disk saying “Don’t bitch you can’t install the game.”

I don’t think they even know how to fix this game.a patch is like a bandaid on a still very bloody wound.

People often bitch about stuff and not enough good things are said – i was lying prone among the grasses and rock and someone flew a jet so close to the ground the vegetation separated and the roar was incredible – the military called it Show Of Force. It felt so real and it was damn fun to have a game this realistic.

Oh yeah – 1 more thing . When u fire a round there’s a whirl of smoke coming out of the rifle – pretty damn realistic i say.

You’re not part of the PC Master Race unless you game at 4K with at least 2 x 980 Tis sorry that leaves out 98.9 % of you. Peasants.

If you still can’t play this game without complaining, trade it in and STFU. I’ve had shitloads of fun with this game starting about a month after it came out (yes I pre-ordered, and was pissed at first). Adapt to how the game functions or don’t play at all.

    • K
      September 1st, 2015 at 11:41 pm

“Adapt to how the game functions” with no sound and invisible players for the first few minutes of a round?
That might make sense to you because you want the BF series to lose its reputation, but unlike you we want like the game to be GREAT.

5years time: “Adapt to how the cracked disc functions. Why do you need to install? The cover art was amazing. Look at it or GTFO”

        September 4th, 2015 at 6:14 pm

Again, the sound issues were resolved on my platform, and if they don’t load immediately, its within the first 15 seconds of the round, not minutes.
