Next Battlefield 4 patch is in certification, releases in 2-3 weeks

The Battlefield 4 Summer patch is officially done and is now in testing with the various platform holders (Sony, Microsoft). DICE’s David Sirland announced that the patch has been sent for certification, and this process usually takes 2 to 3 weeks before it’s cleared for release.

The certification process tests the new content for any system issues and makes sure things run as they are supposed to. As for the PC, DICE and EA do internal tests before releasing the update.

While the PC update could be released faster, DICE has historically waited and released the update on all platforms at the same time.

The Battlefield 4 Summer patch includes a slew of new features, including a brand new map: Zavod Graveyard Shift, which is the night version of the popular Zavod 311. Check out some screenshots of the new map, and a trailer as well.

Other additions in the patch include a new weapon and vehicle balancing pass, and a big back-end server update that should make the game run a lot smoother.

Sounds good. We will see how it pans out. Anxiously awaiting Dragon Valley.
