No more night maps coming to Battlefield 4

Golmud Railway and Siege of Shanghai night won't be released.

Battlefield 4 will get no more night maps

Last year, DICE released Zavod Graveyard Shift, a night map based on the popular Zavod 311 map. And they were working and testing two more night maps: Golmud Railway and Siege of Shanghai.

Those maps will never see the light of day. DICE confirmed that there are no plans to bring those maps to players. The maps were tested alongside Zavod Graveyard Shift for a while in the Community Test Environment.

But as we reported last week, the Battlefield 4 CTE has ended.

Despite closing of the Community Test Environment, EA still says that they will continue to support BF4 in the future. How long in the future remains to be seen.

Officially, the developers at DICE LA are still working on Battlefield 4 and have not moved on to other projects.

It’s a shame we never got to play the other night maps, because they looked quite stunning: check out some screenshots and videos here.

Wrong, there’s a low chance they will be released to retail.

What a joke. Seriously. They must be laughing their asses off at EA with their wads of jack off money.

I was only joking. For how much they wanted people to pay for this game. Least they could have done was improve the engine because it runs terribly.

Nope, It’s your shit PC and shit internet connection. The game runs beautifully on my PC. It costs just as much as any other game title out there. If you can’t afford to pay that amount for a game gives you thousands of hours of entertainment, you have bigger issues.

How much do you want to bet the reason BF4 turned out bad was because they funneled their resources for that bad Star Wars game?

          BF4 was developed from 2011-2013.
Star Wars was developed from 2014-2015.
So how does that work? You to rephrase your question?

Well those maps are sort of owed to us customers given the disastrous launch of BF4. I guess the commitment from EA just wasn’t there. They had the gall to wrap a different skin on their BF4 game and sell it to us as Hardline and Battlefront.

Because of that and the paltry amount of content on Battlefront, I skipped out on buying the DLC.
Not going to spend any more money on this bullshit.

Enjoy it guys. Making a run for Call of Duty from now on.

“Hopefully it’s the WW1 Battlefield.” – Don’t count on it. That would require creating many new assets and that’s too much labour. It will be same era and similar settings to ensure maximum reuse. It will probably even have same vehicles.

It’s a real shame companies are just getting worse and worse as time goes on. First Capcom and their ridiculous overpriced Resident Evil series and now Battlefield.
