Battlefield 4 Boats
The Battlefield 4 Boats selection is much greater than in previous games in the series. Boats in Battlefield 4 are much more powerful this time around, and range from simple rubber boats and jet skis, to powerful attack and interceptor boats. Battlefield 4 boats can be equipped with powerful anti-tank and anti-air weapons, and feature mini-guns against enemy infantry as well. Some of the larger boats have bays that contain jet-skis for the players to use.

Compared to other vehicles in the game, the selection of Battlefield 4 Boats is limited. Each of the three main factions have one main attack boat, and they all share smaller boats such as the RHIB rubber boat and jet skis.
Battlefield 4 Boats tips
Boats are very limited in Battlefield 4, as they can only transverse water (of course). Luckily, the maps where boats play a big role are designed in such way that boats can access many of the control points and objectives. While Battlefield 4 Boats can be armed with missiles and all sorts of weapons and countermeasures, they are still very vulnerable — much more than land vehicles and aircraft.
As a rule of thumb, it’s always best to keep moving and use the necessary unlocks (such as smokescreen) to keep enemies off your tail. The biggest threat to boats comes from the skies, as they are easy targets for especially helicopters. Therefore, always equip your boat with anti-air missiles.
Battlefield 4 Boats unlocks
Like all other vehicles, Battlefield 4 Boats feature plenty of unlocks. From offensive unlocks such as guided missiles against enemy boats and vehicles, to anti-air rockets. Defensive unlocks include maintenance, which allows for faster self-repair, and IR smoke, which works in a similar way as on land-based vehicles. Check out the screenshot below which shows some of the boat unlocks:
