Battlefield 4 Defibrillator

Battlefield 4 DefibrillatorThe Battlefield 4 Defibrillator, aka Shock Paddles or AED, is a gadget used by the Assault class to revive fallen teammates. The Defibrillator in Battlefield 4 is only available to the Assault and has to be unlocked in order to be used. In addition to reviving teammates, the Battlefield 4 Defibrillator can also be used as an offensive weapons to shock-kill enemies.

The Automated External Defibrillator (AED), also known as Shock Paddles, have been with the series since BF2, where they were operated by the Medic class. In addition to the “Defib”, the Assault class also has access to the Medit, which heals teammates. Both gadgets can be carried by the player at the same time. Reviving a player awards as many points as killing an enemy: 100.

Battlefield 4 Defibrillator tips

The Battlefield 4 Defibrillator can be equipped in one of the gadget slots instead of the M320 grenade launcher. Depending on your team and squad, usually it’s a good idea to equip the Defib gadget, since when you revive a teammate, it not only nets you 100 points (as many as killing an enemy), it also makes sure your team doesn’t lose a ticket. This is especially helpful in the Rush game mode, where the attackers have very limited tickets.

The Battlefield 4 Defibrillator is most useful in urban maps with a lot of infantry combat, where there are plenty of bodies to revive. In fact, playing as a dedicated medic with the Assault class on close quarter maps usually results in more overall points scored compared to playing regular offense.

lets hope that thy aren’t going to be as OP in BF4 as they were in BF3…..
the defibs were the most OP gadget in the game. ( but you can’t blame them for making them so OP as “Battlefield” is focused allot on “TEAMWORK” and face it, the time that you have a huge K/D and then you get hit by a tank….. those are the times when you really want that revive)

Whoa there cowboy, don’t wanna seem so nitpicky but there is a huge difference between an AED and a defibrillator. Those are just regular defibrillator. An AED has pads that you apply to the patient and does everything for you, the defibrillator, not so much
