Battlefield 4 Premium

Battlefield 4 Premium is a paid subscription to Battlefield 4, which includes several advantages for players. For one, Premium offers free access to all DLC, exclusive in-game items, new assignments, and much more. Battlefield 4 Premium is not included in the base game and will cost $50 (one time fee) and will be available when the game launches in Fall 2013.

Battlefield 4 Premium details

Battlefield 4 PremiumDeveloper DICE has confirmed that Battlefield 4 Premium includes many of the benefits that Premium featured in BF3. Among those are:

  • Free access to all DLC and expansion packs
  • Exclusive Battlefield 4 weapons and items
  • Server queue priority in multiplayer
  • New Battlelog features
  • Exclusive awards (ribbons and medals)
  • Double XP weekends once a month or so
  • New dog tags, assignments, awards, etc.
  • Exclusive strategy guides and videos on Battlelog
  • Additional unlocks
  • New skins and camos for all classes
  • Ability to reset your stats if you want a fresh start

Battlefield 4 Premium offers plenty of extra features that are worth the price. Especially if you are looking to get DLC, Premium will give you free access to all DLC, which individually will cost around $15 a piece. Premium for BF3 included 5 expansion packs, and it’s expected that Battlefield Premium will offer access to at least as many.

Battlefield 4 premium logo

Battlefield 4 Premium price and special features

Battlefield 4 Premium retails at $50 as a one time fee. This is paid in addition to the game itself, which retails at $60 on all platforms. Later on, special Battlefield 4 Premium editions of the game might be released, which include the base game and a Premium subscription included.

It’s also expected that there will be periodical discounts on Premium, as was the case with BF3 in the past. Premium will be available on all platforms, including the PC, PS3, PS4, and Xbox 360 as well.

One of the special features with Premium is that it often gets members earlier access to new DLC, which was the case with the previous game in the series.

where can i pre order battlfield 4 premium edition

    • JaxtaT
      June 3rd, 2013 at 10:30 pm

If it even comes to be, premium “edition” won’t be a pre-orderable game. it will be just like with Bf3 and come out a few months after the original game release.

You’re talking about the preorder deal in which you will receive the FIRST DLC. Basically EVERYONE who pre-orders that now receives it. If you get the Deluxe Digital deal then you also get the beta access. EA has yet to release formal info about the premium though they have said there will be a premium deal. If they follow BF3 protocol then they will formally announce the premium deal after game release and maybe after the first DLC release.

DO NOT get it from gamestop, they make you jump through THEIR hoops. They give you a code to that you have to download an app to enter, which gives you another download, which is just a webpage with the actual code, and for me, the code hasn’t “stuck” to my account on origin, even though it says the code has been used. What they say in the article could be false. EA most certainly did say that they would give out free premium for those who preordered Battlefield 4 or own Battlefield 3 with premium membership. Now, they’re selling the premium version separately and only giving the first expansion to preorders. EA is so full of shit.

  7. Croquette
    June 14th, 2013 at 5:19 am

I just called EA Support. Nope. Buying the deluxe digital origin edition WON’T give you access to the premium. It will only give you access to ONE “free” expansion pack (china Rising) Which means that to be premium on BF4 you’lle have to pay the premium which is gonna cost approximatively 50$ So here is the count: 70$ + 50$ => 120$. That’s what EA and DICE think the fanbase deserve : TO PAY MORE AND MORE. Frustration.

Infos 100% COnfirmed. Don’t buy the deluxe just buy the basic one and then if you want buy the premium. You’ll save money that way (premium gives access to the china rising pack…)

i just pre-ordered Battlefield 4 from gamestop, that way you get the china rising and beta accses, but if you are all ready premium in BF3 you will get beta accses eitherway. I ordered it for roughly 50€ or for about 65 $ in US

I preordered the Deluxe Edition (with the special box and all the cool stuff) for about 37 euros (48 USD). It’s a bargain I suppose.

110ish euro’s for the complete deal? I’ll pass and stick with BF3. I’ll just pirate BF4 for the SP as a result of the hideous pricetag for stuff that should be free or implemented as default.
And the only way to not purchase stuff twice is to buy a clean version without DLC and go for the premium deal as soon as its offered. Otherwise you’ll just pay double for the 1st DLC.

    • jamie
      August 4th, 2013 at 8:22 am

I think people are missing the point. At beginning just like in bf3, the game comes as standard. Pre ordering gets you the first doc but the “premium” is a subscription not the full game. You will pay whatever it is for a 2mb downloadable file that will unlock the extra stuff. If you all remember, the bf3 game disc with the premium for 60 or whatever came almost a year later, so think carefully

Deluxe Edition gives you a shiny metal case, 3 “Battle Packs”(what ever that means), “free” access to the first expansion China Rising and a few other small things. Standard BF4 wont have them on opening release day.

    August 20th, 2013 at 4:24 pm

Ok so basically here’s the deal

    Reg BF4 = 59.99

    Digital Deluxe BF4 = 69.99

    Both come with China Whatever,
Digital Deluxe come with 3 backpacks and all vehicle Air and Ground upgrades.

Premium = $50 for the remaining 4 expansions. Broken down to 15 each expansion will = 60 dollars.

    So BF4 Preorder + Premium = $109.99

    DDBF4 Preorder + Premium = $119.99

Fact of the matter is your paying basically 10 dollars more for the extra goodies on the digital deluxe version.

Your either gonna cough up 10 more dollars for the goodies or not.

Either way EA gets exactly what they want. 🙂 I have premium for BF3 and it was worth it.

Guys, one question (like in BF3):

If two friends buy the game and “share”, it counts normally, ok. If they do the same with Premium, only the buyer will be as “Premium player” on battlelog.
To have at least all those data on my battlelog, should I buy the Premium with my own account on PS3 or can buy with other account on my PS3 and will be recognized?
    (because EUA account is cheapier)….

Umm… I am new with origin but my china rising isn’t there where all BF4’s expansions should be. I have there only that Exclusive BF4 beta from Digital Deluxe Edition, so does it appear there when it comes out or what?

  34. Rok
    August 29th, 2013 at 4:16 am

100% its going to be the same editions as in bf3! If you pre-ordered bf3 you had chance to choose between normal copy 48€) or limited edition (52€) which included first dlc (back to karkand). After some time they announced second dlc close quarters and premium pack. You could buy just premium account (28€) if you already owned the game (to upgrade) or the whole game with premium account (60€) if you havent. And its only one time fee. Same here with bf4 so all preordered copies known as digital deluxe include first dlc china rising after that we will know more about upgrade to premium and dlcs. Its a bit expensive if you cant wait for a few months for a whole game with premium account to be released. Those costs we had in Slovenia (eu). Btw cant wait to spent another 80€ for one game. But its worth every cent. Thanks Dice

so we spent all that money for premium for 3 just to buy another premium for 4 thats horsecrap, they should at least give the 3 members a discount on the 4 premium down to like 30 or 40 bucks at least so we arent pretty much buying the game again after we bought the game again and buying the new game now too

I pre-ordered on April 12 the digital delux. When I log into Battlelog and navigate over to the battlefield 4 tab. It says at the top “just to Prepare 4 battle 10.29.13”

    YOU HAVE pre-ordered

I know they have changed the offer over time.
The man at EA Support told me that the best deals are when they start pre-order. and he confirmed that I have premium in the deal. because I bought it in good time.
The man also told that premium in BF4 will function the same as BF3 Premium. and that has BF4 Premium has the full game. There will not be more expansions to get. So if you have premium you will have access to everything they come with.
He also told that if you order digital delux now you are guaranteed “China Rising” But he would not rule out that premium is not included. but if it is not included and you later on purchase premium edition. then the expansion packs you already have will be refunded or reduced in price. I can not quite remember which one.

That’s what I have, of evidence that I get premium for PC.

One more thing. sorry for my English. hope you understand it anyway

Some people have been Battlefielders for a long time and trust that EA will make good maps. Plus we already have an idea of what their gonna be.

      November 6th, 2013 at 12:49 pm

League of Legends started off almost to this precise detail… except it was evident their game was not finished and was being sold at full retail price… now look at it; free to play, making more money and giving the most money for tournament prizes than any other game in history.

It’s for the people who want to support the developer who brings them the game they look forward to playing; solo, with random people, or their friends.

A small vote of confidence in my opinion. Respect your developer.. they spend thousands upon thousands of hours creating something beautiful so that we may all enjoy it with each other.

If you feel let down and want to assist them in doing a better job… get into alpha and beta tests and get your feedback heard… or better yet, get a degree and win yourself a prestigious slot amongst the pros @ Dice.

  44. mrkingofworld
    September 30th, 2013 at 11:20 pm

I’m gonna clear this up once and for all. If you preordered BF4 you get the CHINA RISING premium expansion pack which has 4 maps. Premium is $50 extra in top of the price if the game. In a few months they will release a BF4 premium bundle which has the base game and all premium dlc for one price of $60. If you guy BF4 now, you still have to pay the $50 extra for premium. Premium members get 5 dlc, which total 20 extra maps, with one if those dlc being China Rising, which if you preorder then you already have access to. The dlc will be released 3-4 months apart. You can not preorder the premium edition of BF4 however you can currently buy premium for $50 extra. If you preordered BF4 for current consoles, and are planning to buy it on next gen in the near future, it will cost only $10 to upgrade and your stats will carry over to the new consoles. BF4 will be release in next gen on the day that each console goes on sale.

Actually you dont get the BF4 game with the premium purchase, you still have to buy the game, the premium is essentially most of the DLC for BF4

    • faithlesssoul
      October 25th, 2013 at 9:08 pm

Premium is for the new maps in the future for the game man. if you just order Premium you still have to buy the game in addition to. cant play the content
of the game. with out the game.come on guys its that simple.

When the game comes out for Xbox 360, will it come in a physical disc and not just be downloadable?

  47. Ben
    October 6th, 2013 at 1:05 pm

EA ripped everyone off. They aren’t giving out premium to anyone who pre-ordered it. They are only giving the first thousand some orders China Rising. Everyone else is S.O.L. If you want premium you have to buy it separately. They just ripped everyone off. Never buying another BF game again.

  48. AnaMAKONDA
    October 8th, 2013 at 10:36 pm

Guys, best thing to do is……. Buy the game and then buy premium from the Playstation store or Xbox Store. Thats what i’m gonna do. Im pretty sure that buying premium separately will still give you all the maps etc.

  49. MadaFaq
    October 10th, 2013 at 7:21 am

Premium available to download from PSN for £39.99.

  50. battlefieldguy
    October 15th, 2013 at 10:28 pm

The Premium is available if you scroll down from the pre order screen to almost the very bottom (so for instance if you go to click the pre-ordering of the deluxe edition or the regular game itself scroll down to where it says related products and you will see the premium edition). The premium gives you access to all 5 of the expansions that will be coming out, 2 weeks ahead play time, some weapons, and 12 battle packs with queue priority. However to my knowledge, you don’t get premium if you get the deluxe edition. Simply because the deluxe has 3 gold battle packs and a vehicle bundle that gives you all 73 or whatever vehicles that they will be unlockable eventually. So if you want premium status you will have to buy it like everyone else who paid 110$ for the game and the premium, otherwise everyone would just buy the deluxe (which only comes out with one expansion, the rest, of which you have to buy after) for 60$ and ignore the separate premium edition.

(TLDR): Deluxe does not = Premium status
Deluxe= China expansion, 3 Gold Battle Packs, Entire Vehicle shortcut bundle

Premium= All expansions, some dog tag stuff, 12 battle packs, 2 weeks early pre-release play time, priority queue status, and some weapons and such.

(Note: Premium does not come with the actual game itself, you will have to buy that separately not sure if that’s the same case as the deluxe edition in involving the game itself).

    • Arbiter
      October 18th, 2013 at 2:33 am

LOL…are you a retard? The premium package contains the game itself and all the still non released DLC’s just like in BF3. You just might have to wait a bit for it’s release if you are buying it from a local store. For example in Finland you can’t pre-order premium from gamestop since they still have the pre-sale of deluxe and normal versions going on. So just like in BF3…wait couple of weeks/months (usually comes out just before the launch of 2nd DLC). And you save a shitload of money. Dunno about trough Origin, but last time I checked they dont seem to understand the difference between monopoly money (dollar) and real money (Euros).

    November 6th, 2013 at 12:36 pm

Premium is simply an attachment for Battlefield Players; the same difference between Halo, CoD, F.E.A.R., etc.. pretty much any online multiplayer game with a moderate to immense player base.

They simply wanted to toss some extras to those who will not only most likely be playing the game regularly, but will probably download every map and/or dlc simply because they want to keep up to date and immerse themselves in the experience that is Battlefield.

Imagine if they had done this for Halo 2, 3, Reach, or 4.

Break down what is in the package and decide whether or not it is worth it pertaining to you. This is a subjective matter.

Yes, they are making mad bucks off of this idea… but so did any other game with a massive following upon the release of new maps, an expansion, etc.. Dice simply had the balls to throw this to their community anyway instead of following the generic channels of marketing and distribution.

Think of this as a promise from Dice to deliver their community much more during the life of BF4.

Again, if you plan on playing the game regularly and believe you will likely get every map to play on… you might as well just buy the god damn thing and shut up about its price.

  54. Matthew Bazley
    November 10th, 2013 at 7:26 am

if you get deluxe edition you dont get premium. Premium is now separate and will be released later on for £50 or so.

    One question-
DOES PC VERSION COME IN SEPERATE DISCS( campaign and multiplayer) OR JUST ONE?

  55. Waldo

Guys, the real enemy here is EA, they are only in it for the money!

Seriously stop and take a look at the real enemy here, EA is full of lies and only take themselves into account, look at Spore,Sim City and now worst of all Battlefield 4!! Who wants to pay $100 for a PC game? That’s ridiculous! I know that it’s a great game, but you know what, why support EA when they don’t care about the customers????

It just doesn’t add up for me, was really tempted to buy this…
    Not anymore though.

EA is full of false promises and its a shame that DICE is affiliated with them.

I get a pop up saying you are missing one or more DLCs played on this server when I try to do quick match, and if I go to server browser and try to pick a Second Assault map it says I must buy the DLC first. When I go to press A and buy the DLC nothing happens. I AM A BATTLEFIELD 4 PREMIUM MEMBER but I cant play Second Assault, and none of my Premium Battlepacks are showing up. Also my in game store does not work. WTF is going on. I spent $50 for this **bleep** and it’s not even working. I have premium but if you title screen menu where it says Premium, then click on about and read the 5 expansion packs part it says it’s at a reduced price. If you look at the info online it says DLC content is free. Which is it?

Whenever I try to join a server, it says “You must have the Battlefield 4 Premium Expansion Pack in order to play on this server”, even on servers that are playing on maps like Flood Zone, Zavod 311, and Paracel Storm.

Great move on your part, EA. Just fantastic.

Some people REALLY need to learn how to read, or at least do better research about something before bitching.

So far, ONLY CHINA RISING IS AVAILABLE! That is why you can’t play Second Assault expansion, or the Capture the Flag game mode. Unless you have XBox One. Then, you have China AND Second Assault.

Premium gets you access to ALL expansions. But, they’re not all released on day one. You have to wait until each expansion is scheduled to release. They will be several months apart. Really, people! Learn to read what is in front of you. Not what you choose to read.

Btw, as a further note, for those not paying attention to DICE/EA announcements, ALL DLC development has been ordered to a halt by EA, until DICE fixes the MANY bugs and issues with this game.

What i think DICE should of done for Battlefield4 premium is that if you purchased battefield 3 premium that they will get a discount for battlefield4s premium or something cause having to pay another 50$ for it is insane like i would pay for cause battlefield is my all time faborite game and i like and its very unreal of how DICE has come this far into their games and, every battlefield they make is more and more realistic then the last battlefield an thats just what amazis me about battlefield and dice.

still think its funny how people compare battlefield with call of duty 😀 im a battlefield player but sometimes I play call of duty for fun because u dont need to think just schoot no strategy at all but battlefield stays the best game for me 😀 and the cod zombies they are addictive but cod multiplayer is the borringest experience ive ever had its just lame ass rushing and firing up ur rounds.
but ok for xbox 360 and ps3 I must admit that cod is a rly great game because of its high framerate it runs damn fluit on these damn old machines u cant say that about bf4 on consoles thats the only + point i can give to cod.
